Veteran character actor James Whitmore died today after a battle with lung cancer.
I have to admit, Whitmore falls into that category of "They're still alive?"for me, but nonetheless, I'm sorry to hear that he's passed.
Whitmore is one of my favorite characters in one of my favorite movies, Shawshank Redemption. Brooks Hatlen is one of the most touching and poignant parts of that film.
RIP James.
